HOW IT ALL STARTED
Greg & Natalie Snider
Zapatos Para Los Ninos (Shoes for the Children) was started by Greg and Natalie Snider. They had moved from Oregon to Isla Mujeres with the dream of putting shoes on the feet of children. They were able to live out that dream for many years until having to return to the States due to the failing health of Greg's mother. Hundreds and hundreds of children were blessed through Greg and Natalie's amazing vision.

In 2015, Don and Brenda Gentry participated in a shoe giveaway. They had raised enough money to purchase 104 pairs of shoes. Little did they know their lives would be forever changed that day.

Since that time Don and Brenda have continued the mission the Sniders began and coordinate a shoe giveaway every year. From the humble beginnings of 104 pairs of shoes it has grown as more and more people partner with them. To date they have been able to give away over 6400 pairs of brand new shoes to children in need.

The Local People
We couldn't do what we do without the help of the local people. In previous years the Mayor has provided food and drinks for up to 1600 people who were standing in line.
